Faith Performance Advantage
Faith Performance Advantage
At Faith Technologies, we strive to exceed our customers’ expectations by surpassing even our own high standards for every single project. This relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction is a large part of why we’ve created our own custom lean movement to eliminate waste, improve processes and ultimately reduce costs that could be transferred to our customers.
We call it the Faith Performance Advantage, and we complement the movement with leadership and employee development initiatives that ensure our ability to successfully adapt superior processes and best practices for the ever-changing construction environment. Our goals include:
- Consistency - Adding value for the customer every time. Our focus is to become aware of every decision, task, and movement completed each day; determine whether they add value to the customer (primary time) or are done for other reasons (secondary time); reduce secondary time so we can most effectively deliver value, every time.
- Reliability - Maintaining our great reputation of quality. Our focus is to create the platform to grow while maintaining the professional quality our customers have come to expect across the entire organization.
- Security - Keeping our people working. Our focus is to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in the increasingly competitive market.
We have developed a Faith Performance Advantage Council as a cross-functional steering committee for the overall movement. The council focuses on the larger Faith Performance Advantage and its goals, and we have set up geographically and functionally diverse task forces to work on short-term focus areas. In its first year, our council and task forces have already tackled the following issues:
- Working Smart - Our WorkSmart process involves the entire team in planning the project from setup through completion.
- Detailing - Our customized approach to developing production drawings.
- Value Engineering - Our primary value engineering focus is on capturing, evaluating, and distributing the best practices, methods, and ideas. The process, communication plan, and long term committee is reinforced through Detailing and Productivity work.
- Productivity - Our task force is underway to guide how we focus on productivity (the actual work we perform on projects) and an improvement plan. We have put a Technical Training Consultant in place to serve in a similar capacity to our Safety Directors. Currently we are at 41% primary time with a long term goal of 55%, which would be an approximate 25% improvement.
- 30/30 Rule - This is the basis to our "campaign" to get every employee thinking about having all materials, tools, and information within 30 feet and 30 seconds search time of their work area.
- Purchasing - Our process is currently being evaluated to try to formulate a strategy moving forward, which balances buying at the best price in a way that rapidly gets materials to installers.
We recognize that tackling these issues provides us with another way to earn your confidence. But you’ll also benefit directly - in the form of cost savings and a more satisfying, consistent end product.
